I finally took the initiative to upgrade my XP system to Service Pack 2. I didn’t realize there would be so many problems.
As soon as I rebooted, I realized my printer wasn’t working and I couldn’t run eclipse because of the lack of a JVM. After taking care of these problems, all seemed well. But the issue that ultimately forced me to backout the change was I couldn’t use my 20 GB iPod as a disk drive.
After searching on the internet for a fix and trying multiple things, I could not figure out how to use the iPod as I so needed and wanted to. I know I need to perform the upgrade but I first need to make the two play nice. I was surprised to experience the problems that I did though.
Before the season began, I said that if the Jazz finish the season at .500, they would have had a successful season. On Tuesday, the season ended for the Jazz. Their record was 41-41. Not a bad prediction, eh?
I did, however, also say that if they finish .500, they would most likely make the playoffs since the western conference was supposed to be somewhat weak compared to previous years. Unfortunately, they didn’t make the playoffs. I do like how they ended the season. As a Jazz fan, I have a lot to look forward to.
This season was harder than any other for me to watch. I don’t think I watched an NBA game other than Jazz games. It is safe to say that I am a Jazz fan and not an NBA fan. If it weren’t for the Jazz, I don’t think I would follow the league at all. The NBA is not fun to watch anymore. I doubt I’ll watch any of the playoffs, either. All of my friends and others that I have talked to about the NBA have said the same thing.
How do you feel about the NBA? Are you going to watch the playoffs?
I have finally started my own personal blog. I have been wanting to do this for some time. Our family’s private blog isn’t the place to post the my own personal thoughts on stuff I encounter each day. And it drives my wife crazy when she has to listen to me talk about wierd things over dinner.
Although there are millions of blogs on the internet, I feel it is important that I have my own forum to post my thoughts and ideas on my interests. Gone are the days when I thought I would have nothing to post – I have a lot to say and share with anybody who cares. In future posts I will share rants, ideas, and thoughts on things such as technology, gadgets, home automation, the Utah Jazz, baseball, and whatever else I feel like. It should be lots of fun!
I will be changing the design and layout of this blog in the near future. Initially, I was going to get everything setup before starting to post, but that is not the reason to have a blog. My posts will take priority and then I will get everything setup as time permits.
