Vanity Searching

Last week I googled my own name once again. About six months ago I did it and I didn’t even show up. Now, I’m happy to report I show up on the first page at the bottom. How cool is that!

So I guess my blog is paying off. If only I blogged more I could rise to the top.

If you all want to help me rise to the top, just make sure you link to me and my intriguing blog posts. From what I understand, there are two things to do to optimize search results. So if I want to rise to the top, I need to update my blog more often and I need other blogs and web sites to link to me.

Also you shouldn’t use aliases.

As long as I am asking for links, I thought I should update my own links. So far I have added only friends’ links. If you feel left out let me know so I can add you.

It isn’t everyones goal to be the top of a google search. Do you know how many John Jones there are in the world.

    Aliases are fine. JEDORA RULES

Since “John Jones” is a fairly common name, I imagine… doesn’t it seem that John would be the last person who should need to use an alias? “John Jones” sounds like an alias. What does “Jedora” mean? Whatever it is… it rules.

I googled my name, and there I was. If it turns out that I’m a Nascar driver, I was actually on there a few times.
