One of the blogs I regularly read is 43folders. It’s a great blog/site with some wonderful tips and life hacks.

A while ago Merlin left a blog entry giving shaving tips. At the time, I thought it was odd finding a post in my reader on shaving. But I skimmed over anyway and there was stuff I had no idea about.

For example, he points out that you must wet your face before shaving. For some reason, I had no idea that this was standard practice. Lo and behold, right on the shaving cream it says to leave skin wet. But who reads the instruction for shaving gel?

After I read this, I tried it out myself. Total life-changing event! So the other day I had my wife pick me up a fog-free mirror for inside the shower. I highly recommend a mirror for the shower to shave.

I used to dread shaving every morning. Thanks to my addiction to reading blogs, I have improved my life and have made shaving a better experience.
